How a casino earns its grade

Letter grades — A down to D — are set by our reviews desk, not by operators. A grade is only awarded after we've confirmed the licence on the Gambling Commission register, so licensing is a gate, not a scoring category.

We look up every brand on the official public register, note the legal licensee and account number, and confirm the domain we link to is the one that licence actually covers. No register entry, no listing — however good the casino looks.

Then the experience

Games range, live casino, mobile performance and general usability carry the most weight. We favour casinos that make it easy to find a game, understand its rules and cash out without a treasure hunt.

Player protection matters
